Brief Description of Event: In the recently concluded intercollege annual fest of I.T.S Dental College, Ghaziabad; students of Babu Banarasi Das College of Dental College participated in various Scientific, Cultural & Sports Events and were applauded for their efforts.
On 18th April 2025 Dr. Puneet Ahuja, Principal BBDCODS delivered a lecture on Topic “Communication and Soft Skills in Dental Practice’’ in the morning session. The lecture was well attended by undergraduates, postgraduates and registered faculty members.
In the Scientific events Poster Presentation was done by BDS 1st Years Mayank Kumar and Shrishty on the topic ‘‘Dental Health Education’’ and BDS 3rd Years Chitranshi Awasthi and Abhilasha Advika on ‘‘Systematic Review: Local Drug Delivery’’. A Paper Presentation was done by Dr. Shweta Raju Ghanwat, JR III from the Department of Periodontology and were appreciated for same.
In Sports students participated in multiple activity. In Badminton Mayank Pandey (BDS 2nd Year), Vimal Singh (BDS 2nd Year) and Aditya Ranjan (BDS 2nd Year) participated and received certificate of participation. In Shotput Sarmistha Mahakud (BDS 2nd Year) & Mayank Kumar
(BDS 1st Year) participated and were appreciated for their efforts. In Athletics Mayank Kumar (BDS 1st Year) participated in 100M race. Relay Race from BBDCODS was represented by Chitranshi Awasthi (BDS 3rd Year), Abhilasha Advika (BDS 3rd Year), Sarmistha Mahakud
(BDS 2nd Year) and Vatsala Srivastava (BDS 2nd Year) and received participation certificate for same. Mayank Pandey & Vimal Singh (BDS 2nd Year) participated in Boys Carrom. Girls team of CODS constituted of Vatsala Srivastava & Sharmistha Mahakud (BDS 2nd Year)
who won the ‘‘GOLD MEDAL” for same among 12 teams and felicitated medals and certificates for same.

In cultural students of Babu Banarasi Das College of Dental Sciences participated with lots of vigour and zeal and their efforts was highly appreciated. In Solo Dance Competition Dr. Shweta Raju Ghanwat (MDS Periodontology) won the 1st Prize for her Classical Dance performance.

In Photography competition Mayank Pandey, Raj Kamal Verma & Alok Gupta from BDS 2nd Year, & Aditya Ranjan Intern participated and were appreciated for their efforts. Raj Kamal Verma (BDS 2nd Year) participated in Kavi Sammelan and recited his own composed Kavita
and was applauded for his splendid efforts.
In MasterChef Activity BDS 3rd Year students Sandhali Shivhare, Chitranshi Awasthi and Abhilasha Advika participated and received certificate of appreciation. In Rangoli competition Sarmistha Mahakud and Vatsala Srivastava from BDS 3rd Year represented BBDCODS.
The team of BBDCODS attended the various scientific sessions and learnt about the various aspects of advancements in dentistry. The students appreciated the hospitality of I.T.S Dental College and look forward to similar association in the future as well.
