Description of the event: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Babu Banarasi Das College of Dental Sciences, BBD University, Lucknow organized and conducted a Lecture “Managing Medical Emergencies: Essential Tips And Tricks” On Thursday, 13th February 2025 in the lecture theater 1, BBD College Of Dental Sciences.

A lecture was conducted on 13th February 2025 where principal, HOD of variousdepartment, postgraduates and Undergraduate’s students took part. Dr. Jitender Kr. Aurora, Prof. & Head, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, BBDCOS, Lucknow educated the significance of OMFS day with role of AOMIS in uplifting the fraternity and various fellowship program and inaugurated the event.
The lecture was organized on the occasion of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Day on the topic MANAGING MEDICAL EMERGENICES: ESSENTIAL TIPS and TRICKS which was delivered by guest speaker DR.(MAJOR) VISHAL ARORA
Dr. Puneet Ahuja, Principal, BBDCOS, Lucknow educated the participants about the topic and shared his valuable words.
A vote of thanks was given by Dr. Amartya Srivastava, Reader, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department
The program was concluded by gifts distribution ceremony to the nonteaching staff of the department as a token of their constant support to the department
Conclusion:
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Day was celebrated by BBDCOS which was an initiative by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery involves treating conditions related to the face, jaw, and mouth. Surgeons in this field perform procedures like tooth extractions, corrective jaw surgery, and facial trauma reconstruction. The day aims to highlight the importance of their work and educate the public about oral and maxillofacial health.
