An inter-department, Clinico-Pathologic Conference was conducted by the Department of Prosthodontics at BBD College of Dental Sciences, BBD University, Lucknow on 19th July’23 . The theme of the presentation was “Geriatric Treatment Modalities- Simple to Complex” which was inspired by the UN theme of the decade 2021-2030 – “Decade of Healthy Ageing.”
Due to population ageing causing a demographic shift, the prosthodontists have to train more and more in dealing with a varying clinical situations of edentulism. The third year post graduate students presented the transformative power of Prosthodontics through a diverse array of dental cases performed by them: From geriatric dentistry , removable prosthodontics to implantology and full mouth rehabilitation.
It was well attended by the HODs, faculty members and over post graduate students of all the departments of BBDCODS.
The presentation was all about inspiring the art and science of creating beautiful , healthy smiles. The presentation was followed by a healthy and interactive discussion and Question-Answer session with the faculty members and PG students.
