CDE program on“Cleft Lip and Palate: From Etiology to Excellence in Management”was organized by DepartmentofOrthodontics, BBDCODS, BBD University,on 14 August,2025.The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.)S.K Srivastava, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, BBD University and Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Sharma,Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, BBD University. The event started with welcoming our esteemed dignitaries and guest speakers followed by lightning of the lamp.
Theprogram was organized under the supervision of Dr.Shantanu Khattri, HOD, and Dr.Tripti Tikku of Dept. of Orthodontics, BBDCODS, with valuable guidance of Respected Dr. Neeta Pasricha, Principal BBDCODS, BBD University at each step.
The program featured impactful lectures by-
- Dr. Puneet Batra (President IOS) on orthodontic perspective of managing cleft lip and palate patients.
- Dr. Gaurav M. Gupta (Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgeon)on surgical approach for cleft lip and palate repair and
- Dr. Saumyendra V. Singh on clinical application of NAM appliance.
This was followed by Hands-on workshop byDr. Deeksha Arya and Dr. Saumyendra V. Singh on NAM appliance.
This program wasattendedbyPractitioners, Faculty members and PG students of variousdepartments ofdental colleges of Lucknow and therefore helped in enhancingtheirknowledgeon the subject.
