A trauma awareness week was conducted on 17th January 2024 where students of Undergraduates & Postgraduates and Heads of Various departments attended the Workshop.
The function was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Principal, BBDCODS, Prof Dr Puneet Ahuja followed by a welcome address by Dr Hemant Gupta, Head of the Department, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, BBDCODS.
Dr. Hemant Gupta (UPAOMSI member) , Professor and Head ,Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department ,BBDCOS, Lucknow educated and sensitize the participants regarding the menace of not following the safety rules.
Dr Ankit Gangawar presented a comprehensive overview on safety measure to be followed while on the road. He emphasized on the first aid to be given at the site of incident and discussed regardingenforcement of the rules.
An interactive Two-way communication was established between the speaker and the participants where doubts were raised and cleared which later concluded by the vote of thanks by Dr. Puneet Ahuja

Trauma Awareness Week was celebrated by BBDCOS which was an initiative by AOMSI to raise awareness about the impact of trauma on individuals, families, and communities. It aims to promote understanding, compassion, and support for those who have experienced trauma. The week typically includes educational events, workshops, and discussions on trauma-informed care and healing practices. It also serves as a platform to advocate for policies and resources to address the needs of trauma survivors.
