An Anti-Ragging Orientation Workshop was conducted on 19th December 2023, where students of 1st year and 2nd year, UG & PG, parents, Hostel Wardens, Police personnel from Local post, Heads of Various departments and members of anti-ragging committee attended the Workshop.
Dr Neelam Mittal (DCI member), Professor and Head, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, BHU, Varanasi was invited to educate and sensitize the participants regarding the menace of ragging.
The function was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Principal, BBDCODS, Prof Dr Puneet Ahuja followed by a welcome address by Dr Hemant Gupta, Head of the Department, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, BBDCODS.
Dr Neelam Mittal presented a comprehensive overview on ill effects of Ragging and its serious implications. She emphasized implementation of anti ragging activities and discussed regarding enforcement of zero tolerance towards ragging.
An interactive Two-way communication was established between the speaker and the participants where doubts were raised and cleared which later proceeded to the Memento Presentation to the Chief Guest.
Conclusion:
The Anti-Ragging Orientation Program in BBDCODS, Lucknow served as a proactive measure to foster a safe and respectful learning environment. By promoting awareness, education, and collaboration, the institution aims to eradicate ragging and create an atmosphere where every student feels secure and can focus on their academic and personal growth. Ongoing efforts and periodic reviews will ensure the sustained success of the program in maintaining a ragging-free campus.
