A CDE Program with lecture and hands-on workshop on the topic of “Systematic Review and Meta-analysis” was organised by the Dept of Public Health Dentistry, BBD College of Dental Sciences, Lucknow on Thursday,6th July ’23. The program was attended by 80 Doctors from various dental colleges of lucknow.
The program started with the welcome of the speakers and the introduction about Systematic Review by Dr.Raghuwar Dayal Singh.lecture by Dr. Balendra Singh over how to frame a research question, preparing PICO with examples. The delegates were given the software to enable them to implement the same search and analysis component on their laptops.
The inaugration ceremony was conducted with Dr Pavitra Rastogi, Professor & Head- KGMC, President – U.P. State Dental Council being the Chief Guest. On the occasion were present the Principal, Dr Puneet Ahuja,HOD, Public Health Dentistry, Dr Anuradha P., all HODs and faculty members.

Post Lunch, the Hands-on workshop was conducted on data extraction , risk of bias assessment and forest plot by Dr. Balendra Pratap Singh. In this the participants used the Software to access global literature to search for key articles and how to use them in Meta-Analysis and Systematic Reviews.
The CDE Program ended with a Vote of Thanks to the esteemed Speakers and all delegates who participated in the Program.
